Emarat partners with Magnati to offer customers seamless, secure payment solutions​

Abu Dhabi, 10 October 2021: Emarat, a  leading national power and energy company with a vast network of fuel  stations and service centres across the UAE, has partnered with Magnati, a fully owned subsidiary of First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), to offer customers a seamless, integrated and secure payment solution.

The partnership will support card payment acceptance to enable Emarat customers to make card payments for services including: fuel, lube, convenience store purchases, car registration at Shamil and prepaid top-up for online acceptance. With Magnati’s fully integrated solution, Emarat customers will benefit from quicker checkout and a seamless customer experience.

Magnati’s deployment at Emarat fuel stations will include ATEX-certified devices meeting the fuel safety requirements as part of the payment solution, delivered in line with global security standards.

Magnati is focused on direct acquiring, issuer processing and acquiring processing. The company provides government, merchant and institutional clients with an intelligent payments platform that monetises data, using next generation technology to deliver improved experiences and increased efficiency. Magnati strengthens FAB’s leadership position in the rapidly expanding payments sector and is helping to accelerate its digital transformation agenda.

This new feature offers convenience and security and targets improving the efficiency of services provided to passengers and minimising the risks of exposing passengers to COVID19.

The agreement, which was signed by His Excellency Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director General of Ajman’s Department of Finance, His Excellency Omar Mohammed Lootah, Director General of Ajman Transport Authority and Ramana Kumar, CEO of Magnati, comes in line with the vision of Ajman’s government to boost digital economy while exceeding public’s expectations of satisfactory services, thereby increase customers’ happiness.

Passengers can now pay taxi fares using credit cards, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, as well as the e-wallet of Ajman Pay, the smart digital payment gateway for the Government of Ajman.

Commenting on this, Al Ali said: “Signing this agreement comes in line with Ajman Department of Finance’s strategy to be an active part of achieving the vision of our wise leadership when it comes to digital transformation.
